Not every dog should be bred. You cannot go out and buy 2 Aussies and 2 Poodles and expect them to be able to breed, it doesn’t and shouldn’t happen that way.  Every reputable breeder should have some sort of genetic testing completed on their sire and dam or by the grandparents to show that dog is clear or a carrier of something.  

Breeders should take extra precautions to never breed two carries together.  This is where the tears come in.  Sometimes it’s possible to purchase a puppy you may want to use as a breeder down the road.  That puppy grows up and their ears are not correct, I as the breeder must make a difficult choice and pet those Toy Aussie out.  This is after your whole family has bonded with her and she with you.  But as breeders we cannot keep them all and I feel it only fair to the dog they go on and allow some family the opportunity to give that dog 100% of his or her love.  It’s hard, but it’s the right thing to do.  If you didn’t do this, you would end up having 50-70 dogs and that’s unrealistic for your self and for the dogs. 

Each adult dog I have is health tested for the main Aussie or poodle diseases.  If I need to test any of the puppies; I am also more than happy to do that too. 

Toy Aussies & Standard Poodles are family dogs and when raised from babies they can adapt to most any type of living situation.  With that said, both breeds need socialization.  

My Toy Aussies and Standard Poodles will go to Lowe’s, training class, parks, floating, kayaking, rides on our side by side, camping, ballgames, and anywhere else we can take them.  After your pup receives his or her vaccines, it’s important to socialize and exercise them, they love to be with you!  These two breeds can live in apartments, big houses, little houses, cold or hot environments but obviously the Poodles do take up a little more room.  The Toy Aussies do shed, but with regular brushing this can be greatly minimized.  The Standard Poodles have minimum amount of shedding but do require hair maintenance for getting them groomed. 

I am also a big fan of crate training for your pups safety.  

From time to time, we do have young adults or adults we are retiring for sale.  I am very picky as to where they go.  I know all their quirks, the good, and the bad.  I want both you and the dog/puppy to succeed so I must be picky in this area. 

In the event you are unable to care for your Blasted River baby, I will gladly take him or her back, and try to re-home. 

My Toy Aussies are under 14 inches tall and generally weigh no more than 20 lbs, with the average being 12 lbs. I am constantly analyzing my pack and making sure I am only breeding the best quality not only for my customers, but for the betterment of the breed as well.   They make a fabulous family dog!!! They’re very low maintenance other than they do need some exercise but it doesn’t take much which would be based off of their drive. 

The Standard Poodle was on the bucket list for me to own one. They have been a great addition to my program. They fit in well with the Aussies. You will even notice I'm also adding in the Toy/Mini Poodles. I take great pride in all of my animals which allows me to analyze to ensure the best quality. The Poodles have minimal amount of shedding, love going on adventures, and is a great campaign for any family.
